Purpose
The charitable purpose of the trust, as recorded in the Charities Register:
A church community created and maintained to serve the spiritual needs of the Russian Orthodox community on the greater Auckland area, with some outreach into the broader community. Where possible, material aid is also proffered.
The deanery and the parish
The Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Auckland is a parish of the New Zealand Deanery of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The ruling bishop is Archbishop George (Schaefer). The rector of the parish, Archpriest Vladimir Boikov, is the dean. More about them on the Clergy page.
