Specific Needs

Prayers for the Living and for the Departed
There are many times in our lives when as Orthodox Christians we need to pray for a specific need:

• when we are ill or know someone who is sick
• when someone is in the hospital or at home and needs Holy Communion or Holy Unction
• after the birth of a baby
• when someone needs to be baptised or married
• when going on a trip, or moving to another place
• when beginning some major task in our life
• when looking for a job or starting school
• when our house or car need to be blessed
• when we want to offer thanksgiving to God for His benevolence
• on our namesday, birthday, or wedding anniversary
• when one of our relatives or friends has died, or it is the yearly anniversary of their death
• when we know that someone has died and not had a proper funeral
• or, when we just need to talk about something with the priest...

In these times, or if you just want to pray to a specific saint, please contact Fr Vladimir and he will gladly arrange a time to meet with you, whether it be in church, in the hospital, or at home.
